About the Role
We are looking for a Lead Contract and Claim Manager (m/f/d) to join our team and contribute to the energy transition! As part of leading transformation projects, we support our clients across all project phases—from engineering to commissioning. In this role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring contract compliance, managing claims, and mitigating risks, helping our clients successfully navigate complex projects with confidence.
Key responsibilities
As a Lead Contract and Claim Manager(m/f/d), you’ll be a key player in ensuring the successful delivery of complex projects. Your role will involve:
- Leading a team of contract and claim professionals, mentoring them and ensuring they have the guidance needed to succeed.
- Managing contract and claim processes across all project phases—from engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, to commissioning.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, ensuring alignment with project objectives and protecting client interests.
- Managing claims and contract changes, tracking key figures, and conducting target vs. actual comparisons.
- Overseeing subcontractors and ensuring compliance with contractual agreements.
- Interacting with key stakeholders including clients, subcontractors, and project managers, to foster strong relationships and ensure all parties are aligned.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless communication and coordination between departments, project teams, and clients.
- Identifying risks and opportunities early on, supporting risk management strategies and developing mitigation plans for potential challenges.
- Recording, structuring, and communicating contractual requirements clearly and transparently to all relevant stakeholders.
What You Bring to the Team
We’re on the lookout for motivated and detail-focused professionals who are passionate about contract and claim management. To thrive in this role, you should have:
- A degree in law, business administration, or engineering.
- Proven team management experience, with a track record of leading and mentoring a team in contract and claim management roles.
- A structured, reliable, and analytical approach to work.
- A pragmatic, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset.
- Fluent German and good English skills, both written and spoken.
- Ideally, professional experience in contract management and team leadership in large-scale projects.
- Solid knowledge of modern project management methods and MS Office.
- A passion for working in an international, multicultural environment.
- Aspiration to continue growing in leadership and project management roles, taking on more responsibility and contributing to the success of your team, the project team and TPM.
