About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and proactive (Senior) Cost Control Manager (m/f/d) to join our team for an exciting construction project focusing on transmission systems, cabling systems, and substations. As a Cost Control Manager, you’ll take charge of commercial and financial oversight, working to keep budgets aligned, costs in check, and communication smooth.
Key responsibilities
- Key Liaison: Be the main contact for the Financial Project Lead and Cost Controllers, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
- On-Site Coordination: Collaborate with local construction teams and service providers to ensure smooth operations.
- Commercial Management: Manage all commercial aspects of the construction site efficiently.
- Invoice Verification: Review and verify invoices for accuracy by comparing them to contractor submissions.
- Service Monitoring: Oversee services provided and maintain organized records of service invoices.
- Claims Support: Assist with change orders and claims, monitoring and reporting any related issues.
- Construction Phase Assistance: Support commercial reporting and document processes during the construction phase.
- Requirement Definition: Establish requirements for each construction lot based on project specs, ensuring clear communication for order initiation.
What You Bring to the Team
- Experience: You have at least 5 years of solid experience in commercial management, along with a strong understanding of construction standards and a basic technical background.
- Education: You hold a completed commercial training, or a similar qualification focused on construction, ideally in line construction, infrastructure projects, or related fields.
- Tech Savvy: You are skilled in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and SharePoint. Experience with additional technologies such as SAP S4 Hana, Jira, or tpCDE ‘Thinkproject’ would be a great bonus.
- Communication Skills: You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in both German and English, making collaboration a breeze.
- Software Proficiency: You are confident in using relevant software and have a basic understanding of commercial accounting processes. Relevant training documents or certificates are a plus.
